What an overwhelming turnout for such a great cause-the walk raised over $3,500 in just 3 short weeks! The Cayucos, Cambria, Morro Bay Hunger Walk brought out walkers and sponsors to help raise funds for the Cayucos Food Bank (part of the SLO County Food Bank Coalition). Even when times are tough, we need to remember that at least many of us don't have to worry about getting food on the table. There are many people in our communities every day that don't have a pantry or refrigerator to just go to and select what they would like to eat that day. The SLO County Food Bank Coalition helps out the hungry and can be helped/donated to financially all year round. They can buy so much more than we can with the same amount of money so if you can donate even $10, it makes a huge difference in so many lives by helping out with what you can!
