Interactive Marketing is Here to Stay! (Text Messaging, Social Networking, County Fairs)

Marketing is so important to the Text Message Marketing Campaign and we definitely saw evidence of that in comparing this campaign from San Bernardino County Fair's 2008 to 2009 Years! You have to make people aware of the different mediums in which you use to provide them the information they want, then allow them to pick and choose which venues they wish to return to for their information. This is where being interactive becomes crucial because gone are the days where people simply read the newspaper…they would rather go to the newspaper site and see movement and click here and there and everywhere. So we need to keep this in mind in all the marketing we do, that it is interactive and catches the attention of our customers so that they will crave more of our information. If we use some interactive creativity, they will remember that they want to return to our information because it is new and different all the time. All of our marketing campaign was new and different this year, especially to our local area…we used approaches and jingles that stopped them in their tracks and we kept interacting with them every direction they turned, we didn’t just stop at a radio or newspaper ad. We gave them something to do in that ad, whether it was sending them to the website or texting in a keyword. Then when they got to that website or texted in, we gave them something to look at, a link to give them additional information or interact more in the social network of their choice, a ticket list for them to buy what they needed AT A DISCOUNT or sent them another text with more information on deals or contests! It never ended, we kept them interacting the WHOLE time!!!!!!!!! Big time WOOT to the SBC Fair Marketing Team this year!!!
